Decodes every overlay image in composition and waits for every face its text overlays name.

A browser decodes images only asynchronously and resolve cannot wait, so this runs before each lowering, and a URI is read again every time. An image left out of it resolves unsupported, and so does one whose fetch never finished, which gives up after a minute rather than hold up later lowerings.
